Charter Communications Complaint - Charter Will Bill You For A Service Call Even If They Say They Won't Or Don't Show!!
HAMPSTEAD, NORTH CAROLINA -- Charter has billed me twice for a service call when it should never have been billed. The first instance, they billed me and a technician ever showed for the appointment - I had a friend waiting all day. In the second instance they sent a tech out to see why my high speed internet was not "high speed" (this is a separate issue that I will complain about). They told me that there would be no charge if they found the problem to be with their equipment. The tech came, fixed the problem (amazingly - after 1 year of dial up speed service)& it was with their equipment. I was billed $35 for the service call after they said I would not be charged. I called to complain. I had to explain to the representative that I was told I would not be charged. They credited my account (supposedly - I'll check next month's statement, since I don't trust them).
So always check your statement to make sure they haven't charged you when they say they won't. They will. I complained to a supervisor that this is a deceptive practice and that I'm reporting them to the FCC. I think he was a robot.
