Best Buy Complaint - Can't Get Money Back For Product They Never Delivered
REYNOLDSBURG, OHIO -- On 1/10/09 my aunt purchased an HD TV Antenna the total purchase price was $108.87, the store told her to come back and pick it up on 1/15/09. On 1/15/09 the store called and told her that they could not give her the antenna because they had problems ordering it. The store person told her she would get refund in 5-7 days. When her account was not credited after 7 days she called and they told her the only way she could get her money was to go back to the store. She is elderly and handicap and the store is 1 hour and 45 minutes away from my aunts home. Again she is elderly and handicap. I have called the 800 number for customer service with no help, I have called the store directly and spoke to the Operations Manager named Jen who giggled when I was telling her about the issue. Still no resolution so they have this lady's money since 1/10/09 and will not refund it or send a check unless she drives 1 hour and 45 minutes to correct an error the store made. At this point the only option I feel is left is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the State of Ohio Attorney General and the Secretary of State.
Again this lady is elderly and handicapped on SSI and they still will not refund or send her a check for her money. I will never shop at Best Buy again.
