Mercedes Benz Complaint - Dangerous Defect In A Modern Mercedes Car

Review by nour on 2009-01-28
CAIRO -- I own a Mercedes car C200K model 2006, WDB 2030425A836694. All services has been done in the authorized workshops. The car has not subjected to any accident. The warranty has passed few moths ago. About 50,000 km, I heard a leak sound when I turn the A/C on, and the temp. is not good. Day by day, the problem getting worse. I went to the service center where they told me that there is a puncture in the A/C coil which needs replacement. It will take tow days and price is extremely high. I wonder how such a dangerous damage happens in a Mercedes car in such a short operating time?

As an engineer I think this is a material defect. I believe you will do something for me according to your good well.

A leaking A/C system is far from a dangerous defect. As far as the puncture, the evaporator in front of the car's radiator can be punctured by debris coming from the roadway.

I once had a stick about an inch in diameter tossed up by the car in front of me go thru my evaporator and my radiator.

Hugh, had the same thing happen to me in my car, rock off a truck did my ac in.
It shouldn't require a tow.

Jkt, I think the OP meant 'two', not 'tow'.

oh, then I take that back, thanks
I just noticed the Cairo location and figured it would take a couple of days to get it to the garage.
