Walt Disney World Informative - We Would Like To See More

Review by Lady C on 2009-01-28
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- Dear Walt Disney Corporation,

I am An African American working wife and mother. My daughter and I were looking for character themes to decorate her room. When she asked me- mom how come none of the three princess are black? She said I want to be a princess. Keeping in mind my child grandmother is Caucasian and I never really knew my child notice because she has a mixed family.

It has puzzled me every since and now I would like to know when will my child have the pleasure to see a black princess or a movie about a black princess.

Disney is doing a black princess.

‘The Frog Princess’ will be set in New Orleans and scored by Randy Newman. The princess name is Maddy.

There is also: Jasmine, Pocahontas and Mulan who are not white.

On that same subject, I just wish that Disney release "Song Of The South" on DVD once and for all. I own a bootleg copy of that DVD that I bought at a horror movie convention, but would prefer an "official" Disney release. The bootleg was made from a UK VHS version of the Disney classic. Because some may find the film offensive, it remains in Disney's vaults.
