Boyland Acura Informative - Backup Sensors

Review by peternelson on 2009-01-28
APPLETON, WYOMING -- Back up sensors were added after we purchased a new MDX Acura, my wife had a minor back up fender bender in a parking lot, the sensors were not functioning at this time although she did not realize it until she scraped the other vehicle. We took the vehicle into the dealer, they said the sensors worked as they should even though I checked them before going into the dealership and they were not working, finally they said they found a problem and corrected it. We spend our winters in Tucson and this repair took place at this dealership. When we returned to Wisconsin the sensors were not working again, we took the vehicle into the dealership and they replaced the entire back up sensor system.

We are in Tucson again and the sensors are not functioning again and we had another minor fender bender. If they can not make a product that you can depend on why do they make them available?

Mirrors would be a good 2nd option.

i think looking as you are backing up would help too. by having sensors, does not allow one to freely backup without first looking.
