Rick Case Hyundai Complaint - Very Poor Service Practice

Review by Sushi123 on 2009-01-29
I took my Elantra to Rick Hyundai in Plantation Florida. It needed expensive repairs that had been done before and broke again. After two days was told the car was not under warranty and would have to pay. Told them the car was under the 10/1000,000 warranty they said their was no warranty showing. The car had been repaired there 15 times under warranty, what happened to the warranty, which I paid $1,801.00 For at purchase.

Called the gen mgr and wrote to the trade comm. No help. I called today again, the car is still not repaired but they have good news. I had purchased what they call their h. P.P. Contract directly from Hyundai and is their premium contract and thats why they could not find in the normal ex. Warranty file. Oh yes everything will be covered but we haven't repaired it yet.

Asked them who was paying the rental car bill I have run up since they still have the car--not us, we do not pay for rentals. What about a loaner? No we don't have them (even though I had gotten 3 previously from this same dealer.

They are not at all sympathetic or the least concerned about your problems. I was going to purchase a new Hyundai genesis but I do not trust the service depts. I have been checking the internet and have seen dozens of complaints about Hyuandi warranties. They have improved their cars, but seriously need to work on their service performance and attitude. I would not recommend the purchase of a new Hyundai. Too bed because it is a great looking car!
