Lingo Complaint - Poor Service, Lying Staff
I tried in Sept. to cancel Lingo. Was told that I needed to keep service 1 yr or pay 59.95 cancellation fee. Reduced to minimal service, was told would get free month in November. Was told new bill 7.95/month. Failed to inform me that bill would also have 12$ month in taxes, bringing it to 20/month (approx). Failed to give me free month in November. Tried emailing their address posted on website numerous times. Tried email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org and their escalation email address. Got no response. Finally called today as nearly 1 year to investigate charges. Was told could not cancel for 2 yrs, or get 99.95 fee.
Was never informed of this policy change, would have cancelled in September/October as clearly that would have been cheaper. They repeatedly have lied to me and are overcharging.
