AT&T Wireless Complaint - Poor Service, Poor Everything!!!
GRETNA, LOUISIANA -- My family switched to AT&T last March because I wanted a Blackberry and Verizon did not have one at the time - HUGE MISTAKE!!! Unfortunately, we signed a 2 year contract and bought 3 new phones from AT&T. Within 6 months we had to replace 2 of the phones but the service (or lack of service) is UNBELIEVABLE!!! We have dropped calls EVERY DAY, failed calls, text messages that go thru 24 hours later, etc, etc, etc. I have to use the land line at home and work more and more to make calls. My daughter is away at college though and has no land line so I have to call her roommates who are in the same room but thank God on another service and tell them to have her call me!! When I complain to AT&T - which I have done many times in email and on the phone, all I get is that they have reviewed our coverage and your bills and we are getting service so they refuse to let us out of our contract. The last woman I spoke to the other day said "we don't guarantee service" THEN WHAT THE HELL AM I PAYING FOR?? When my blackberry wasn't working and I had to find a land line at the courthouse to make a call and I went to the AT&T store, the clerk actually told me "you know, cell phones are for emergencies not just to chat on" What century does this moron live in - these are the people that AT&T employs to handle your accounts!!
A relative of mine works for AT&T and she is embarrassed about this - she said to file a complaint with the FCC and encourage everyone else to do this also. We also have a 4 foot sign in our front yard stating the number of dropped/failed calls we have - we update it every couple of days. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR AT&T - NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!
