Papa John's Pizza Informative - Review your CC Purchases
HONOLULU, HAWAII -- I used to work as a manager and noticed that some drivers seem to have tips on almost every CC receipt on a busy day, which actually is rare if they are being honest about their tips. Usually, especially for the newer guys, about half of the receipts tend to have tips on them, unless they get really lucky.
So Use YOUR own pen, if possible, use a purple/orange/red pen since most drivers only carry blue/black pens with them. Also remember to carry the balance at the bottom. Most people leave that part blank.
They tend to steal $3-5 bucks from you.. Not a big deal, but it's still stealing lol
I got into an argument with a driver because he was pissed that his tips were about $25 less than what the receipts accounted to. He didn't even attempt to match his handwriting with the customer's. He used his original handwriting on all the ones without tips. All for $5 each.
Other drivers I noticed the number after the $ sign is very thin. They change the $3 to $.30 and squeeze a number in to look like it was $5.30
The drivers don't get in trouble for this its the managers because we are the ones who put the tips in the computer. Though I've never gotten in trouble for these drivers' malicious self-tipping, I left because upper management expects just way too much from their employees.. (to save labor, expecting to put in 70-90 hours of work per week and only getting a 50 hr salaried pay) But yeah, it is just a pizza joint after all!
