PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.
On November 21, 2003 I moved from Philadelphia County to Bucks County. I was advised by Comcast Cable of Phila that all I had to do in order to have my cable disconnected was to contact them the day I was moving. On the day I moved, I contacted them and they disconnected my cable. When I moved into my new home in Langhorne, Bucks County I called and had Comcast come out to install cable at my new home. On 12-9-03 a Comcast technician installed cable in my new home in Bucks County and asked for the converters from my old home. I gave him the 2 converters that I had and he gave me a receipt stating that I returned the converters. Ever since that day, I have been getting bills for the converters from Comcast of Phila. Each time I contact them and give them the account number and receipt information that indicates that the converters were returned, they state that the matter will be resolved. I continued to get bills and threatening letters from Comcast of Philadelphia stating that they want me to pay $420.00 for the converters. Again, I contact Comcast, and they said they had no record that the converters were returned. They advised me to go in person to the Philadelphia office and have it straigtened out. I have been to the office 2 times and both times they made a copy of the reciept and state that everything will be resolved. I received a letter from a collection agency and called to explain the situation and they said it would be resolved.
Today I received a 2nd notice from the Collection Agency demanding payment of $420.00 or the return of the converters. Obviously, this matter is still not resolved. I do not know what else I am supposed to do about this. Please investigate this so it can be resolved as soon as possible. I have worked very hard to keep my credit in good standing with all of my creditors and I am very concerned that this will have a negative impact to my credit report.
Here is some information regarding this situation.

I will be so grateful if you can help me straighten out this matter.
As a resolution, I would like the following:
I would like written confirmation from Comcast Cable of Philadelphia and North American Collection Agency that this issue is resolved. I would also like an apology from Comcast Cable.
