DVC - Disney Vacation Club - Hilton Head Island, South Carolina Complaint - Poor Customer Service
HILTON HEAD, SOUTH CAROLINA -- I called early one morning from Disney World in Orlando FL to reserve a unit for our trip home.
After driving all day we arrived at Disney Hilton Head Island Resort Route 278 South Carolina just after dark.
When I called I had requested a studio in the main lodge but when we arrived we were given a studio in building 12 (1213) next to the Lodge.
When we went to look at the unit, it did not have a bath tub & no way for us to take a bath!
We went back to the lobby and asked for a different unit, but the staff member said, they did not have any more "studios" available. (Member Services should have never made the reservation if they could not give us a studio with a regular bathroom or at least told us it would be a handicap bathroom shower.
The DVC staff members then went on about their business (the male staff member went in an office and the female staff member went in and stood by the pool table then disappeared) and both of them ignored us.
We drove back out to I-95 and spent the night in a comfortable Hampton Inn at a cost of $100 night.
We are very unhappy with our DVC HHI experience and the way this was handled and plan to sell our Disney Vacation Club Points in the near future...
