Meineke Car Center Complaint - Meineke in Robinson, PA

Review by Michael from Pittsburgh on 2009-02-05
MCKEES ROCKS, PENNSYLVANIA -- I left my car over night and had them do an inspection and oil change service. They called the next morning to tell me the car was done and I can pick it up after work. I had my fiances car at the time and stopped by to get my keys and then kept going to pick up my fiance in her car, didn't bother checking my car yet. We came back so I could get my car from the parking lot at about 6:45 PM so they were closed. I tried to start it and the battery did not work! So I had to wait for an hour and call AAA to come jump start my car right there in the Meineke parking lot. This was a 2008 Nissan Sentra less than a year old so it wasn't the battery that was wrong. The car was in fine condition and everything worked when I dropped it off. I didn't leave any lights or anything on. They must of tinkered with it when doing the inspection and drained the battery. [snip] the manager denied wrong doing and I am seeing where I can take it from here. MAKE SURE YOU REQUEST THEM NOT TO DRAIN YOUR BATTERY! This was 2/4/09.

This was 6014 Stuebinville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA

Just a thought. Maybe they used your car to jump-start another vehicle and, in doing so, blew the diode pack in your alternator. That would allow the battery to drain even though there is no load (everything is off). Keep an eye on the charge indicator. It's also possible the battery went prematurely flatline.
