Literary Guild Complaint - Payment not credited to correct account
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I have had an account with your company for 6 years. I recently cancelled the account due to the fact that payments totaling over $100.00 have yet to be credited to my account. These payments went against the old account number, the one I had until sometime last year when the account was changed from a Standard account to a Literary Guild Select account. Twice I have sent copies of my bank statement and printouts of the list of payments made from Yahoo's Electronic Bill Pay service. I am still being harassed about payment and now you are threatening collection. I have repeatedly explained that these payments were made electronically and that there are no cancelled checks to send you. I keep being asked to produce something that does not exist. I have given you all the proof there is that these payments were made to your company.
I have been unable to contact anyone by phone because you have an automated phone system that does not give me the option to speak to a human. I have tried email, I have sent you documentation and letters. There is no phone number listed on the bills you send me for the person who signs the threatening letter.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I want the money I sent credited to the correct account. I do not want to have to send you documentation a third time. I want the deliquency taken off the account. The payments were never late - they were mishandled at your end. I want written confirmation that this has been taken care of.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident.
