Conn's Appliances Complaint - Their Name Is Suiting
PLANO, TEXAS -- I will never shop at Conn's again. I should have known better than to purchase anything from a company called "Conn's." Best Buy has a customer for life.
We a had a lot of issues when they delivered our TV and fridge as well. They scratched up my new fridge when brining it into the house and installing it. It was like asking for the $2500 for the fridge back when I asked for a new one to brought out. The did bring the new fridge. They also tore up the bricked front porch when making the swap. Their customer service never returned my phones call to fix it. We ended up paying for it...then I finally got a call 100+ days later. Their representative who called was very hateful to me from the off; never offered an apology or anything. When I said that we waited more than 3 months without a return call so we had it repaired on our own, I was hung up on.
We have a $2700 TV that we purchased from Conn's at the same time as the fridge. We had some issues with that TV and they did not want to do anything about it. I let the manager know when he was giving us a hard time that we are happy to return all of the merchandise and pay their ridiculous 15% restocking fee just to ensure they do not get another cent from us. He reluctantly gave in and did not charge the 15% fee, but only after we let him know we would be sure to let everybody we know what kind of company they are.
This TV needed repair 2 years after owning it (Jan 09). The lamp went out. They could not get out any sooner than 2 weeks. If this were Best Buy they would have been out in a few days at most. Each time I phoned, I had to hold for close to 10 minutes before getting a live person on the phone. Their customer service is a little on the rude side and I could hear a lot of personal conversation in the background. I guess that is due to all of the personal conversations going on and my call must have interrupted them....how professional.
When I phoned for service, I was told that I would receive a call from the technician by 9:30 in the morning to be provided a 2 hour window. I never received a phone call. I phoned service at 2PM and was told between 3 - 5. The service was closer to the end of that window.
