Dish Network Complaint - Dish TV Installation - Wanted To Staple Gun Coax Across Top Of Deck, Used Non-Water Proof Connectors / No Roofing Cement!
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA -- 1. They wanted to staple gun coax cable across the top of my deck so I had to walk on it every time I went through the door or down the stairs. I asked can you please run it under the deck, they said only if you run it yourself. So I ran it under by myself and handed the other end to them.
2. They put the dish on my roof without using any roofing cement.
3. They drilled big holes through the siding and my walls to run the coax and did not caulk them, so cold air blows through (I had to caulk myself).
4. The installation contractor use non-water proof cheap coax crimp connectors, after 1 year they rusted, the switch on the roof fried, and I had to pay full price to get to replaced (I did not have service contract). The rest of the connections gain dropped about 5 db, so I had to cut the cheap crimp connectors off and buy a digicon crimp tool and water proof connectors and fixed it myself.
5. Every aspect of the installation was sub-par.
