Sahuaro Mountain Meat Co. Complaint - Quality of Meat - Ribeye Steak

GILBERT, ARIZONA -- On February 19, 2004, I purchased seven and a half pounds of ribeye steaks from this company (Sahuaro Mountain Meat Co.).

On February 23, 2004, I grilled two of the packaged steaks for the dinner meal.

Their company brochure declares that their meats are USDA Choice, and that product guarantee is 100% for tenderness and flavor.

This was, without question, the worst beef I have ever eaten in my life time ( I am eighty-one years old).

I called the telephone numbers provided to me, but from the first calls I made to them, I can no longer reach them (they are conveniently out of the cell phone service area, or the lines are busy, or some other avoidance tactic.)

I file this complaint in good faith.

Keep trying to contact them. A busy signal usually denotes someone being there. If they are a good company, I am sure they will be willing to at least send you a couple of steaks. I say that noting that you are not hysterical about it, and if they are reputable, they will probably try to make it right. Keep trying, and don't assume they are avoiding you. At this point, they don't know you to avoid you.

Did you ever get satisfaction? It is a shame, but most mail order steat companies send shoe leather, unless you want to spend $30-50.00 per pound plus shipping. For those prices, I prefer to go to my local steakhouse.
