Idearc Complaint - Crooks at Idearc - Stay Away - Yellow Page Advertising
Yellow Page Advertising - Complaint
NEW YORK -- Yes our phone company started yet another satellite company Idearc whose mission is to convince you that you don't need low price internet exposure, just expensive yellow page advertising. They teach some pretty high pressure tactics to their salespeople.
I have a small ad that I overpay for. Forget recession, they increase their rates more than anyone and always figure out a way to get you to enlarge your ad. Anyway I get a sales call about next year's advertising. It was during the holidays and I just didn't have time to look into it. I was told no worry the deadline isn't until March. A few days later (Dec) there is a message telling me he's busy and he will put the ad in as it was. Then I get a note telling me the new ad is more money than the old, and no opportunity to make necessary changes. I send a complaint email to their customer service dep't who takes a month to respond, telling me that according to the contract it is my responsibility to know their deadlines!
Whatever happened to renew your yearly contract by signing. I am hoping to get the AG in my state involved, hopefully a 7 figure fine will help them tow the line.
