DirecTV Inc Informative - Backed Up Movie Charges
CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA -- I wish that I could tell everyone who has Direct TV to switch to someone else and those who don't to run while you can!! I had Direct TV for 2 years. I only switched because I wanted to bundle with quick internet and COX gave me that option affordable. Once I sent in my receivers I thought it was all over. Nope, Direct TV took money out of my account for movies that were charged the year before. Granted it was only $25.19 but imagine the person who rents movies weekly from their receiver and when they cancel their Direct TV they get a bank statement showing a large $$$$ deduction. That can just cause a bad day. Then after they took this money out of my account they sent me another bill for $4.19!!!! When is this going to end? Their customer service was not helpful, the guy tried to help me in his best English speaking voice but I was so frustrated I just took the address to mail my dispute. I will never use direct TV again and I will make it my personal business to make sure that everyone knows what happens once you cancel your service. You can call all you want and say do I have movies but they can't see that you do until your receivers have been turned in.
Best thing I can say is if you know you rented a movie through your remote.....pay for it in advance or they will get your *** in the end!!!
