TiVo Complaint - Stay Away From TIVO!
CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a Tivo and 2 years of service for a total of $324.00 in June of 2007. 2 days after activating my unit and service I checked my account and it only showed 1 year of service. I called that day and they assured me that the 2 years had been applied and would roll into the next year on July of 2008. Now I have been overcharged $65.00 on my original activation credit card and Tivo is saying it is not their fault I signed up online and didn't enter the proper code. When I contacted them 2 days after service activation this should have been discussed! I have spent over 5 hours on the phone with customer service. I have hung up on several times. They refuse to put a manager on the phone with me. I hate TIVO!
Tivo is screwing people right and left. After reading a few forums I have noticed this is a common problem, they offer a promotion and make it seem like that is what you are getting then they throw their hands up and say not our problem. Bull! I hope they are the next to go belly up because of DVRs from your cable company.
