Conn's Appliances Complaint - Worst Customer Service Ever
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- How bad is Conn's service? Let me count the ways...They installed a broken dishwasher last November (2008). The door wouldn't close because a piece was bent. We asked them to take it then because we didn't want a broken machine. They assured us that they would come and fix it the next day. Two or three days later I called them and they sent someone, who said, "It's broken" and filed paperwork. This paperwork (that we called on to make sure was being processed and were promised numerous "call backs" on that never happened) took soo long to process that they no longer carry the model that we bought from them.
Finally they approved in store credit or refund for the machine we had originally.
Here's the thing. We used a sale (day after Thanksgiving) to buy a $499 machine for $199. We bought a stainless exterior and interior machine now we'd have to settle for a plastic interior/exterior. If we take a refund Conn's pockets the installation fee that they used to install a BROKEN MACHINE! This was over a $100.
We really don't want to ever deal with their representatives again, but we also don't want to lose money. Here it is February of 2009 and we have asked for someone from the national office to contact us and we were assured that they would. Ha!
Conn's seems to think if they find people with polite voices, (though I was hung up on once)and hire enough people so they can pass the buck, they never have to deal with the substance of your request. What a con!
Update: My husband was able to talk with someone at the corporate level this morning and I just received a call saying they located a dishwasher in the same model as the one installed. Thanks to the representative who got something done! Cross your fingers! Hopefully it will work perfectly and I can mark this as resolved.
