Motel 6 Complaint - Rude, Disrespectful Management
WEST DES MOINES, IOWA -- My husband and I stayed at Motel 6 in West Des Moines for 2 nights, although I paid for 3 nights with my mastercard when I checked in. When I checked out, I asked them to credit my mastercard since we only stayed for the 2 nights. The check out clerk floundered around with the computer, and was unable to apply credit to the card. 15 min passed, then 25min, eventually I sat down in the lobby. The manager showed up, and tried to apply credit to the credit card, and she also was unable to do it. My husband was upset with the way things were being handled and the apparent inability of the staff, and called guest relations to see if they could help, and was put on hold. 45 minutes passed, and the manager began to call us names and tell us we were being rude, and that we would be "blacklisted" from Motel 6.
I sat there with my mouth hanging open. I asked her if that is how she usually treats customers. Her comments escalated into calling us liars, and other names in front of other customers. She was the rudest, most unprofessional "manager" I have ever met. We never did have our credit card credit applied.
I wouldn't go back to Motel 6 EVER! There are too many good hotels out there that treat people humanely and with common respect.
