U-Pack Complaint - Unethical Business Dealings
I got a quote to move a 1 bedroom apartment both on line and over the phone from U-Pack. I was quoted $850 to move a 1 bedroom apartment. What was delivered was a 6'X7'X8' cube. No way would anyone be able to move a 1 bedroom apartment in a cube that size unless they were midgets!!
I was moving 1,600 miles away, I had everything arranged and I had zero time to look into other moving arrangements, I had movers lined up and I had to be out of my apartment. I called U-Pack who of course, showed no empathy at all but U-Pack was very prompt in quoting me the cost of a second Pod. I felt U-Pack lied to me and took advantage of my situation. I think U-Pack is a bunch of scam artists who take advantage of people who are in a tight fix.
The kicker is U-Pack has yet to deliver my belongings to my current apartment as it appears they do not work when it snows. Unfortunately I have moved to a state where it snows at least 5 months out of every year. God knows when they will actually deliver my things. I have arranged movers based on the delivery date I had to set up with U-Pack over a week ago. Of course, this all means nothing to them, they don't work when it snows and of course, they don't do weekends. I filed a complaint with the BBB on U-Pack, no surprise, U-Pack hasn't responded to them either.
