Geek Squad / Best Buy Complaint - Will Never Go Back To Best Buy Or Geek Squad!! Firmly Believe In Dell Products And Services!

VANCOUVER, MILL PLAIN, WASHINGTON -- Where do I start? For 11 years, my family have been Dell fans. We have been SOO happy and grateful for the products and EXCEPTIONAL quality of service we have received from Dell (other than their overseas call centers). The turnaround time to repair a Dell laptop is maybe 3 days... with Geek Squad, over TWO MONTHS... and every time they brought it back to me they broke something else. They even forgot the put the hard drive in, and tried to make US PAY FOR IT! ...and then they used our warranty plan to purchase a new hard drive.

Then, we get it back a third time; it was missing the wireless and video drivers. And guess what?; they required $60 from us to install the drivers to the system which they forgot to do... UNBELIEVABLE! what a SCAM! On top of that they stated it will take a week to install the drivers.

It only takes less than 10 minutes to install two drivers! most likely less than 5 minutes!

You ask, why did we go to Best Buy to buy a laptop if we were so happy with Dell. Well, at the time, Christmas was three weeks away. We were looking for a Dell laptop for our son to put under the tree. The backlog for Dell laptops put our deliver date past Christmas. So, we thought we would take a chance at a local Best Buy and see what a Gaetway laptop would do for us. We found that to be a BIG mistake, and a learning lesson.

Dell, we appreciate your products and SERVICES much much more now with our recent experience with Best Buy and Geek Squad.

Geek Squad, ... you will not last much more than 3 to 4 years in business with the crappy quality of services Geek Squad provides.
