Courtyard by Marriott Complaint - Horrible stay at Parsippany Marriott
PARSIPPANY, NEW JERSEY -- My husband and I had reserved a room at Marriot Courtyard Hotel in Parsippany New Jersey, through our friend who works for Marriot- she got us the friends and family discount. We would be arriving later than expected because we had to stop to repair our flat tire, so we called to inform them, so as not to lose our room. As we were nearing the hotel we called to ask for directions, and the lady was rude, and gave us the wrong directions twice and we ended up back in Pennsylvania. By the time we finally got to the hotel it was 3AM. Same lady made us give her a deposit for more than the price of the room and made a big stink because we didn't want to use our credit card- her overall service was extremely rude and unhelpful. The room itself had burn marks all over the carpet, and the rock hard towels were stained to a greyish color instead of the white they were supposed to be. The TV would not work and we had to fiddle with it for quite some time before we could even watch it.
To top it off, in the morning they would not let us have our free breakfast, claiming we did not pay enough for the room because it was an employee discount! The breakfast required coupons provided at the front desk, and the breakfast room was actually guarded by a bouncer!
I will be sure to let everyone I know NEVER to stay in this hotel! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel, Marriot or otherwise.
