Speedy Glass Compliment - Charged Me The Quoted Price
TIGARD, OREGON -- Yesterday, Feb. 16th, I took my car to Speedy Glass to have the windshield replaced. It had been hit by a rock while driving on the freeway and the damage was too extensive to simply be repaired. Before making the appointment, I was twice quoted a price of $225.00 installed. Since that was less than my insurance deductible, I knew I'd be paying out of pocket.
I dropped off my car and came to pick it up a couple of hours later. I was a bit taken aback, however, when I was told the total bill was $279.00. I told the man helping me that I'd been quoted the lower price and offered to play him the message in my cell phone's voicemail that quoted the $225.00. To my great relief and pleasure, he didn't require me to do that and he manually changed the price down to the quote.
As a single woman, I often fear that companies who do work on my car will try to take advantage of me. It was nice to deal with a business that was so willing to honor the price I expected and didn't argue with me even though I didn't have anything in writing.
