Volkswagen Complaint - Passats = Trouble!
I have a 2003 Passat with 70k on it I bought it because it had everything... leather, turbo, sunroof, monsoon sound, and style. I have had the following replaced... power steering rack, engine coils, water pump, fuel pump, brake light switch, brake sensors, mass air flow sensor, window regulators, fuel lines, radio (2), speakers, door locks, and trunk release to name a few. I can't think of everything off the top of my head but it has been 2 weeks now without the check engine light on and I am very excited. I have been getting rides with friends and using public transportation to avoid driving it because I don't want it to break anymore. I am currently car shopping and will never buy another VW... The service at the dealer is awful and customer service at VW could care less if you spent 35k or not. Avoid the Passat or any VW at all costs...if you want a good German car check out Mercedes they have made a lot of improvements and thats where I am going next.
Not to mention that the C Class Mercedes loaded costs about the same as a fully loaded Passat...so much for making a car the "people can afford." BOOOOOO VW BOOOOO!!!
