Sears Complaint - Rude Customer Service Rep Canceled My Repair Appointment
MICHIGAN -- My washer was still covered under warranty. I made an appointment and waited for someone to show. No one did. I called Sears back to find out what's the problem and after being transferred to 3 people, repeating my problem 3 times and waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I finally go the Executive Office. Robert answer the phone and he was RUDE. I asked him why did someone cancel my repair appointment after having me wait here all day and he said, it was the technician and the only thing you can do it reschedule. I told him that something should be done for me other than you just telling me to reschedule. Robert said in a loud, crazy voice, "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?" I asked him what did he mean by that and he said, "THE ONLY THING I CAN DO FOR YOU IS TO RESCHEDULE AND THAT IS YOUR ONLY OPTION, SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?"
I couldn't believe it. I never got an apology for why Sears just canceled my appointment AND I never got an apology from him. I asked for his last name and an address where I could send a complaint. Robert told me that he didn't have to give me any other information. I told him that I am the customer and you can't treat me this way. ROBERT HUNG THE PHONE UP ON ME and that was the end of our conversation.
Now, when I try to call Sears back to "reschedule," I am told that SEARS HAS NO RECORD OF ME EVER MAKING A PURCHASE. THEY CAN'T FIND MY INFORMATION BY PHONE, NAME, ETC. I told the representative that, "this is really strange since the many other times I called, you were able to find me. Now all of a sudden AFTER I speak with "ROBERT," I don't have a record of the purchase and can't get my washer fixed."
I am still in the process of trying to get my washer fixed.
WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SEARS. If they let their employees talk to their customers nasty and then underhandedly take their information out of the system, that's just WRONG.
I have to go back to the store where I purchased the washer and dryer and figure out how I can get someone to fix this problem. This has become a major, major headache for me.
Sears has yet to even call me back after I filed a complaint with them.
