Norm Reeves Honda Complaint - Poor Customer Service

Review by willhaney on 2004-03-02
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA -- Norm Reeves of Huntington Beach, CA Did Me Wrong
My wife and I bought a brand new 2000 Honda Odyssey from Norm Reeves Honda of Huntington Beach, CA. One day we received a letter from Honda explaining that the transmission was defective and that the transmission warranty would be extended to 100,000 miles and 7 years. Great! Sure enough, this year, 2004, the transmission started acting up. I called Norm Reeves, my dealer, and was informed that not only would they not look at it on a Saturday they would not repair it on a Saturday. Furthermore, Norm Reeves Honda would require 4 days, or more, to repair it. Well, surely they would supply me with a loaner until the repairs had been completed, since it was they who had sold me the defective van. I talked to everyone that I could; no one would help me. I would have to rent a car for the full time the Odyssey was in the shop. No guarantees how long that would be. I then started sending emails to Norm Reeves (contacthb@normreeves.com) , 20 in all, asking for someone to contact me. I did not get one response. That is why I find myself here to tell anyone who would listen.

DONíT BUY CARS FROM HONDA AND ESPECIALLY NOT FROM NORM REEVES HONDA OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA.

Next time it'll be a Toyota.

For the love of Pete...BUY AMERICAN. You can knock them all you want, but if properly maintained, a Dodge or a Chevy will last forever. I've bought myself one new car in seven years (Dodge)...am approaching 200,000 - and I've only had normal wear and tear repairs to make. BUY AMERICAN!

Get real, you try replacing a tranny in a van on a saturday! You have two options either allow the dealer the time to replace your tranny correctly or walk. Your choice

Tha Honda GOODWILL warranty extension and your tranny does not cover a rental car.
You can not hold the selling dealer responsible to give you a loaner or rental just because they sold you the car... they did not build it, they just sold it to you... stop crying and get your car fixed.

Honda Canada sucks too...tranny issue with my honda odyssey and didn't want to help with costs to repair it here in the usa. No thanks to Honda next time it will be another brand that had customer sense
