Orbitz Complaint - Trick Me Once, Shame On You, Trick Me Twice, Shame On Me
NORTHAMPTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I'm a college sophomore, and I've attempted to use orbitz.com twice for my spring break plans with my friends. I clearly should have learned my lesson the first time, but I tried again this year. Orbitz consistently displays packages that are no longer available and increases the price multiple times once you've selected the package, for no clear reason. After the price increased, I reviewed my options once again to make sure I was getting the best deal, and they still claimed to offer the package at a original price.
I searched for a package deal twice, and the package appeared as available both times, yet both times I was denied after attempting to complete the booking process. I was only able to book after speaking to a customer service representative It was ridiculously difficult to get any service, and we only got it through a friend who had already booked through Orbitz, since they only speak to customers who have already booked.
Due to the booking problems, there are going to be significant problems coordinating with the people with whom we were planning on spending our spring break. It was absolutely impossible to get a clear price before the final booking. I would not book with Orbitz again.
