Taco Bell Informative - Sometimes - You Just Have To Wonder
DENVER, COLORADO -- I was in Denver today. Feeling the desire for Taco Bell, I stopped by the Drive-thru. My total was $7.72. I looked in my wallet and I realized that I forgot my debit card. I looked in my checkbook and had $10.00 in brand new $2.00 bills. I handed them to the clerk who looked very puzzled. After about 40 or so seconds he hands them back to me and tells me.... "I'm sorry Sir, but we don't accept Pesos." I swear I couldn't laugh. I was completely caught off guard by this and had no idea what to say. I finally said that they are dollars and to ask his manager. Before he closes the window, he tells me, "Un Momento por favor." LMAO His manager comes and looks like he is 17 maybe 18. He proceeds to tell me that they don't make $2 bills and it is against the law to make fake bills.
Instead of getting upset or anything, I thank him for the enlightenment and drive off wondering, what the hell is happening to our country that two kids have never seen a $2 bill? Maybe it's me.
