EconoLodge of New Paltz Complaint - dishonesty

Review by dede on 2004-03-04
NEW PALTZ, NEW YORK -- Reservations were made for out of town guests. The arrival date coincided with the blizzard of December 6, 2004. Our guests were unable to drive here. We called the EconoLodge to cancel and the owner said he was charging us in full for the rooms - $240.00!
We explained the situation of the blizzard and he did not care, stating he had turned customers away because of the reservations. We drove the two miles from our house to the hotel and found there were no customers there - we even took pictures of the empty lot. Not only is he unfair - he is a liar.

December 6,2004.........you must be psychic. There will be a Blizzard on December 6, 2004.
Other than that I believe your letter is well written and informative. He probably had no customers so he felt the need to make some money out of the day.
