Should I Extend The Warranty On My Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine
I have read some unfavorable reviews here on the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine. I have owned one for two and a half years and haven't had any maintenance on it period. I know it's a matter of time before something goes wrong.
Last week I got the letter to renew my extended warranty. The warranty extension is through Whirlpool's extended warranty service. I'm not knocking their extended warranty service. I have no complaints about them period.
My problem is that I paid in the $600.00 or $700.00 range for my washing machine. I was shocked to see they now want $200.00 to warrant it for one year. To me it seems high.
What I need to know is would you pay the $200.00 to extend the warranty, or just replace the washer when something goes wrong? I'm not rich by any means and that $200.00 could go towards another washer.
Do all washing machines cost this much to renew the warranty, or did I just get lucky?
