Best Buy Complaint - HORRIBLE Car Audio "Certified" Technicians
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA -- I took my brand new car (less than 800 miles) into Best Buy to have a CD player installed. I figured they knew what they were doing; they've done this a thousand times before. Anyway, the technician drilled into my car's main wiring harness and all the wires wrapped around the drill bit and were pulled from within the car. I am now dealing with Best Buy's insurance company and am on the verge of a law suit, as the cost to repair the part is well over $1,500 at the place where I purchased my car. Not to mention interior detailing quoted at $95 to clean up the mess they left in my car. Took my cigarette lighter out of the dash. I had to pay for towing. I am paying $25 a day for a rental car. It has been a week already. Best Buy's insurace appraiser was supposed to contact me three days ago. I have heard nothing. Anyway, this has cost me well over $2,000. I am FURIOUS and will not set foot in another Best Buy. And to top things off, they called me to ask me if I could please bring in a screwdriver that the technician accidently forgot in my backseat. Not to mention, they are an hour and a half away from my home. I told them I would be glad to return it after they fix my car. What nerve!
