DirecTV Inc Complaint - 4 Hours Wasted Today On "Hold" Trying To Communicate With Mom's Cable Company
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- I am visiting my 92 1/2 year old Mom in LA. She informed me last night that her Direct TV is "screwing her" and keeps raising her rates every month. I started calling them at 9am today, and gave up around 12:15pm in exhaustion and frustration. And these people pride themselves on "Customer Service"? Yeah right. So, did I get my "issues" resolved? Hell no! Did they help me sort it out? Of course not! Now I am urging Mom to switch to another cable co, but she is resisting. She likes the shows that she watches and is afraid that "they all screw you", which is true. Right? Help! They give you good deals, low rates, "specials", etc. to suck you in, then start raising their prices as soon as they hook you. They have raised her rates at least $20-$30 since she signed up a couple of years ago. She is living on a fixed income and is getting poorer, while Direct TV gets richer. And the "Service" they offer?
It stinks. You can't even get them on the phone. and she does not use the internet at 92+ years old. HELP! I am only here for a month. what should I do to help my Mom?
