Judaism.com Complaint - Two Months Just To Send My Order... And Then Double Charged!
Don't even think about using Judaism.com if you want to send a gift, or anything else!! I ordered a gift at the end of December and was told I would be notified when it shipped. Weeks later, after hearing nothing, I sent an email asking for an update. From this point ensued a series of attempts to get a response and then eventual interactions with people on the other end who could have cared less...they were lazy, unresponsive, and uncaring. I would get no response at all or lame responses to the effect of "not my problem..." When I first expressed frustration, it was tame and polite, yet I received no apology and no acceptance of responsibility, just a "passing the buck" response: "that is so and so's department..." When the order finally shipped after two months, I received no email letting me know that the order shipped. I found out it shipped when I downloaded my credit card transactions, only to find that I had been charged TWICE. Two charges, same amount, same day. I sent an email to Judaism.com about the double charge. And, what do I get? An email response asking ME to provide THEM with the "transaction approval codes" (hey customer, do our job, will ya?) because their records did not show a double charge...how convenient! Even worse, again, there was no mention of the inconvenience to me, no apology, and no acknowledgment of my frustration. They took no responsibility at any point along the way, even to the very end when they topped it all off with a double-charge. Unbelievable. Impressively incompetent.
I order online all the time and have for years, and this is the first time I have ever felt so disgusted that I had to take the time to let people know...the service was just that abysmal.
