Hilton Hotels Complaint - Do Not Pay In Full For Advance Online Reservations
I am a Hilton Honors customer and chose to book my Mexico travel plans using a Hilton hotel in Cancun. Due to other tour requirements, I needed to book my hotel arrangements last Oct. At that time, I pre-paid IN FULL an internet reservation under the “good faith” that I was being provided the best rate since I was willing to pre-pay. However, I received a Hilton email message today Save Up to 20% Off Select Hilton Family Rates This Winter that is offering the same room type and date for $183 rather than the original $220 I paid. I spoke with the 1-800 customer service representative and she said she was not able to provide any adjustment. Two follow-up email messages from me to the Assistant Supervisor for the Advanced Purchase team has yielded no different result!!!
When a customer pre-pays a reservation it demonstrates ultimate trust in that company to be fair and equitable to a customer! Lowering a prepay rate by almost $40 and refusing to make adjustments to Honors customers is not demonstrating ultimate customer service. AVOID PAYING IN ADVANCE FOR HILTON RESERVATIONS.
