Wal-Mart Complaint - Given Wrong Information On Midnight Release

This letter is in regards to phone calls and a trip I had placed out to your Wal-Mart store to purchase the new PS3 game Killzone2 on February 27, 2009. Starting on Monday, February 23 I had called and spoke to several different people in your electronics department during the week asking them if you were going to have a midnight release of this PS3 game as you have done in the past because if you were that is when we wanted to purchase it, at midnight. I was told by every one of your employees after being placed on hold every single time because they did not know themselves and needed to go ask someone else that you WERE NOT GOING TO HAVE A MIDNIGHT RELEASE and that I would not be able to purchase the game until AT LEAST 8 A.M. FEBRUARY 27. Parents of my two sons friends had also called your Wal-Mart and were told the exact same thing for their children. We called several times hoping to speak to someone that would possibly tell us you were having the midnight release. We did this due to you having a midnight release several times before on new releases of PS3 games. When calling we were always told that we would not be able to purchase it until 8 A.M. February 27.
Finally at 10 P.M. on February 26 again I was told the game would not be available for a midnight sale and whoever I spoke to I asked them if they could hold me two of the Killzone 2 for PS3 until 8 A.M. on February 27 and I was told that I didn’t need to worry because they had hundreds of them in. I went to your Wal-Mart store at 7:30 A.M. on February 27 after taking time off from work and was told that they sold out at midnight the night before! Several parents of my two sons’ friends had also went there for their children the same morning and were told the exact same thing! I don’t know what kind of people you have working in your store but they obviously don’t know what their talking about and obviously don’t care about their customers enough to provide the correct information. We have spent thousands of dollars at Wal-Mart on PS3 games having six children, 2 boys and 4 girls and also having bought our six PS3 video stations there also. Not that you really care yourself but I will no longer purchase another thing at Wal-Mart after calling this store myself at least 15 times and being told the wrong thing by this many people. I have also put in a complaint through the Wal-Mart Customer Service. There is absolutely no excuse for this whatsoever.
There were two women standing there that worked in the electronics department the morning of February 27 and I know for a fact that I had spoken to both of them on the phone and they had both given me the wrong information because they couldn’t even look me in the face!
