Discover Card Complaint - Relentless Annoying Calls
WOOSTER, OHIO -- Discover card has called me 25 times in less than 6 months. The calls prior to that are as frequent but I did not track that far back. Recently it has been auto dial with a number to push to find out the new offer they want me to use. I have requested to not be called 3 times during this period and several times prior. They will not be told NO. I was told that it would stop but might take up to 30 days. The last request I told them I was going to cancel the card. I continued to receive calls. Then, I did cancel and received calls the next 2 mornings but was unable to use the phone to talk to someone, just a dead line. They have been an alarm clock all of last week.
I transferred a balance a couple of years ago to Discover card for a good low rate, however, with a 3% transfer fee. The balance was paid quickly.
I do not understand large corporations willing to alienate potential good customers by using these methods. Along with rude attitudes towards the person that they are trying to sell something. What's going on? Do the heads of these banks approve these practices?
