Oreck Sales and Service, Snellville, GA Complaint - Poor Customer Service

SNELLVILLE, GEORGIA -- I purchased an Oreck XL 1 yr ago, with 10 annual tune-ups included in the price. I took it in for the 1st tune-up and it took the Oreck Snellville, GA location 8 days to get this done. I called them on 2 separate days and they did not answer the phone or return a call. Unbelievably poor, slow service.

Eight days? Eight, whole days? Why, that's almost 200 hours without a vacuum cleaner. How did you survive? Unless a living room plays host to a bivouacked Russian infantry unit, it should not be too much to bear.

LOL Doc! Come over here if I don't have my vacuum cleaner for 200 hours and I'll show you some doghair dustbunnies that attack (and one of my dogs is hairless)!

If I were you I wouldn't rush to get it back! Chances are they are going to tell you to need to replace some parts that are not covered under warranty, even the vacuum probably worked just fine when you took it in. See my posting under Oreck Warranty Parts Extortion. After the third annual tune-up, the charges started coming, though there was nothing wrong with the vacuum cleaner when I took it in for the "free" annual service. I have my machine serviced at the Buckhead store in Atlanta, GA.
