IvoryWhite Complaint - IvoryWhite will not give you your money back!!

Review by diygirl on 2009-02-27
02571, MASSACHUSETTS -- What the company doesn't tell you is that in addition to your free trial, you will receive the complete program, which you must return or be charged for. I cancelled my "10-day" trial on the 10th day to return the complete program. What I was told by the person on the phone was that it is only, in-fact a 7-day free trial. That the 10 days is from the day they shipped it, not from the day you received it, and that I'm not eligible to have the $78.41 charge reversed even if I cancelled on the 10th day and return the product. When I asked if there is anything he can do, he said no.

I told him I've never worked with a company that was unwilling to work with their customers and he said, "I'll note that in your file.", but you won't be getting a reversal of the unwanted charges.

Take it straight to the credit card company. Dispute the charge.

As IF anyone would know when they shipped and hence when the 10 days started...that's rubbish! I guess they expect you to use it once and then cancel to be on the safe side.

As Soaring says, go back to your credit card.

You know, I almost cancelled it on the day I received it, having the feeling that this would happen, but I thought, "No, as long as I cancel within the 10 days, I'll be fine." Lesson learned. I am going to pursue it with my credit card. I've also filed an official complaint with the Boulder, CO BBB.
