Best Buy Complaint - Return Warranty Not A Return Warranty
JAMESTOWN, OHIO -- I purchased telephone base and 4 remote wireless telephones from best buy and the service warranty. One of the remote phones failed to work after a couple months and I returned it to the store. Due to the fact that it was more than 30 days I had to send it to the service company to receive an in store coupon to replace the phone. When the coupon arrived I took it to best buy to replace the damaged phone only to find out that the store no longer carried that particular phone. I was not allowed to special order it unless I wanted to pay cash for it including shipping and handling, They would not redeem the coupon for cash so I could purchase the phone elsewhere. I even tried to return the entire phone system for one they had in the store but they would only do that if I sent the entire system to the service company for an in store coupon. The service company said I could not send it unless something was wrong with each component.
I now have a part of a phone system and a plug in corded phone where I once had a very handy cordless phone. Will I ever set foot in a best buy again? Never, Never, never.
