Village Furniture Complaint - Not meeting delivery date and poor customer Service
KANNAPOLIS, NORTH CAROLINA -- I ordered a sofa from this company on March 3,2001 and they said it would take 8 weeks to deliver. At 11 weeks I received a letter from them stating that the cover for the sofa was back orderedand that it was going to be an additional 4 weeks. After calling the manufacture I found that the sofa was done and that there had been no back order. The manufacture said they would call Village and let them know that the sofa was on it's way so that Village could set delivery ASAP. Well Village did nothing and when I called two days later they said you will have to talk to someone in delivery. That person did not call me until the next day at 6 PM. She called to let me know it was going to be an additional 4 days until delivery after already being 5 weeks late. When I said I wanted the sofa that day they just said there was no way. Afetr speaking with the manager I got the same response. If you are going to tell someone that the delivery date is 8 weeks and you are 5 weeks past that date you should do what ever the consumer asks you to do.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I want some sort of compensation and I want everyone to know to stay away from Village Furniture
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident.
