Lee Dodge - Commack, NY Complaint - Lee Dodge - Needs To Get Their Act Together
NEW YORK -- I recently picked up a new car at Lee Dodge and what an issue it was. I have already leased 2 previous cars with them and didn't have any problems. This was the first time I purchased one from them.
Went in, knew what car I wanted.
Salesman (Vaughn) told me the car would be ready in 1 hour for pickup. Although I was in no rush (and made this abundantly clear), I said I'll be back within the hour. He had my cell phone number, but does he call me to notify that the car will NOT be ready?? Of course not. I live about 40 minutes from the dealership, so I didn't feel like driving back and forth and I made this clear to Vaughn.
Now, I get home (the same day) and Vaughn calls and asks if I could come later (Now, it's already 4:00pm) and pick up the car. I said I couldn't but we're still on for tomorrow at noon? He replied that the car would be ready by noon the next day, ready for pickup.
Was it? Of course not. The next day, I was there at noon and left with the car around 2:00pm.
Papers still not ready. One person blamed it on the bank, the salesman blamed it on the finance mgr, usual "run around." An employee told my wife; "You're lucky. I've seen people here at 9:00 am and still here at 4: 00 pm.)
My advice. If you purchase from them, have them do all the work and CALL YOU when vehicle is ready for immediate pickup. Do NOT believe them when they say "come on down, It will only take a few minutes."
