Payless Car Rental - Richfield, MN Complaint - Do Not Rent With Payless!!!!

RICHFIELD, MINNESOTA -- The business added unwanted auto insurance coverage after I and my sister (traveling with me) clearly stated we neither wanted, nor needed it, since we both have full coverage already. When asked to initial the areas of the contract to decline coverage, along with the other details, I didn't catch that the agent listed the insurance. Upon dropping off the car, I noticed the charges and tried to contest them on the spot, but they wouldn't remove them. I was running late for a flight, so I didn't have time to go over the details at that time, and said I would deal with it after I landed. The management staff, [snip] were both EXTREMELY rude, telling me it was my fault for initialing for the coverage, even though we specifically declined it.

Reviews for this company are all negative and [snip] said that I could "just write my own review about my opinion and say the same thing as the others". I did exactly that, and reported them to the BBB.

Lesson learned: Read before you initial. If complaining to the BBB makes you feel better, by all means, complain. But, it will do no good. You initialed that you accepted the coverage even though you verbally declined it.
