MyFICO - Division of FairIsaac Corporation Complaint - Misrepresents Their Services
HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- On January 23, 2009 I purchased a membership to myFICO at a cost of $42.84, believing that what I was purchasing was an annual membership to their service which would give me access to my credit information from the three credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian) along with my FICO score from each bureau. During the last several weeks I've logged into my account to check my scores. Today I logged in and found that my scores were unavailable. I called the myFICO customer service and found out that what I purchased or more accurately what I thought I purchased, a one year membership, was actually only access to my credit bureau scores for 30 days. Ok, had I understood this from the beginning I never would have paid that much for the service. when I signed up for this service I was mislead to believe that it's an "annual service". I actually asked the customer service guy, "what am I getting for my annual service now that my 30 day access has expired". The answer is, I'm getting nothing. He actually admitted to me that many customers have called about his because they believed they were purchasing 1 years worth of service, one years access to their credit scores.
Has anyone else out there experienced this and feel that myFICO has misrepresented their service? I told the customer service guy that I'm gonig to call the Attorney General's office and report this; which I fully intend to do.
