Bob's Discount Furniture Informative - Don't Buy
TOTOWA, NEW JERSEY -- We bought an entertainment center, table, and chairs from Bob's store's. The table nicked like a stick of butter and the legs buckled in easily. The chairs became loose at the seat. We had also purchased an entertainment center. All four cabinet doors bowed. I went to open the glass portion for the third time and the glass came off of the hinges and shattered in my hand deeply cutting my pointer finger and thumb. We went to the store and they scheduled our furniture for removal. They came and took the furniture on the scheduled date. We were told that everything would be received within 72 hours and the finance company would be notified. We called Bob's over a week later and it was still not taken care of. Till this point we still owe the finance company over $1300.00. If we never called the store we would have been hit with penalties and finance charges of over 21%. THE GOOF PROOF program is not as easy as they make it out to be. We were told all we needed to do was to call the program and it would be fixed. NOT TRUE!!!!!!! We called, they e-mailed us a form for each product that was damaged.
At one point we had to draw a picture of the damaged product, and mail it out. We received a phone call over a week and a half later from the GOOF PROOF sub-contractors. It is not worth going through this or paying your hard earned money you have earned.
