Best Buy Complaint - Geek Squad Horrible And Incomplete Service
EVERETT, WASHINGTON -- On Feb 13 2009 I took my under warranty laptop in to get the back light replaced. I was told it would be ready no later than March 3, 2009. As I was out of town, I would not be able to get to the store so I had my daughter call to check the status so she could pick it up for me. The geek squad that answered the phone was horribly rude to her so she called me on vacation and I had to call in to check on the computer repair issue. I was informed that they had just ordered the back light on the 28th (this was on the 3rd) and that my computer would not be ready for perhaps 2 weeks or more. This is unacceptable as I was told it would be ready on the 3rd. I informed the supervisor that it was not acceptable and for them to expedite the service. Today, March 5 2009 I got a call from the geek squad wanting my password to log into my computer to make sure everything was good to go and then I got another phone call telling me to come and get it. So..I drove the 40 miles and picked it up.
Get home and what do you know..computer will not connect to the internet, doesn't ask for my password anymore on boot up amongst other issues. So I call geek squad on the phone and get this young guy telling me... Oh well thats just too bad, bring it back and we can put it in for a service call!! Can you believe this? I paid for this service and the way I was treated is terrible.
How do they get away with this? I will never purchase from this company again!
