MetroPCS Complaint - Lied To Again - Phone Replacement
GEORGIA -- My wife and kids (family plan) have had Metro for about 5 months. Wife, 18 yr old son and 13 yr old daughter. (I have T-Mobil) When we got their phones we asked about insurance for my 13 yr old's phone. Rep at store said $4 extra a month will cover it. If for any reason the phone quits working we will swap it out at the store. My wife asked, "Even if she (my 13 yr old) washes it in the washer". The representative said " yes". Well she has been having some problems with some texting buttons (ahh too bad ) but we've been to the store 2 times on this problem but they couldn't find anything wrong. Then she got it wet. Not dropped in water but wet. The phone quit all together. The representative at the store said the phone had water damage. "Not my problem" call insurance or Samsung warranty. I said to her, "so YOU LIED about swapping out the phone" She said "NO" the insurance is not part of the store.
Anyway, I told her I was not happy, not that nice with many people in the store. She did not seem to care. Now I am dealing with Samsung. Just got RMA and am sending it off. Told them it got wet but not drowned. See what they come up with. Probably warranty void phone was wet. We'll see. I told their (Samsung) CS I designed electronic equipment used outside a home or lab and if my stuff gets wet you let it dry and it works fine.
Anyway, Metro sucks the big one! Good luck speaking to a human and the store level people are morons.
