Sears Complaint - Sears Has Nobody's Interest In Mind But Their Own
Just to confirm everybody’s complaints and unfortunate events, Sears does NOT care about anybody but themselves. When I say themselves that does not even include their own workers!!!! I used to work for Sears as an appliance technician, and yes I got to houses late and made people wait for parts and overcharged them, WHY? Because that's how Sears runs and how they do business. They just pack as many appointments in as people call in Fortunately for me I was an excellent tech and could get away with charging people less and finding local parts instead of sending then to people 10 days later. But that was not always the case. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not shop at Sears their products are crap and their warranties are not worth the paper they are printed on!!! It's just a money making racket, and the famous annual "Check-up" on your stuff is just an excuse to get a tech in the house and sell you more crap. Aside from a Fridge or dryer they do NOTHING!!!
No checks nothing needed to make your appliance run better. Oh and then finally when they screwed up my check and didn't figure it out months later(DEC 31 at 8AM...end of the year) they just decided to fix the problem by deducting out of my PERSONAL checking account the difference NO CALL NO WARNING, NOTHING. OHH wait wait wait that wasn't enough. apparently they didn't fix the problem soon enough and my W-2 came it wasn't corrected either so now I’m stuck amending my return. and what are they doing about it NOTHING!! not even a coupon at the H&R Block that is in their own DAMN store. So lets do all ourselves a big favor and delete "SEARS" from out vocabularies. I'm trying but they keep coming back and biting me in the ass.
And yes I work for somebody else now with much better benefits, pay, and at least I can sleep with a clear conscience that I haven't ripped anybody off that day. Just to set the record straight as well, I was not fired, I left and they offered me a raise as incentive to stay. Sorry not enough to keep me. I'm done, done, done.
Oh I almost forgot, just a little inside note. A & E Factory Service is also sears so don't be fooled by different colors on the van. So when you buy your stuff at a different store and I hope you do, if the warranty they sell is from A & E Factory Service it's SEARS. My personal view is that warranties are not worth the money anyway. If they weren't making money selling them, they wouldn't sell them.
