AT&T GoPhone Complaint - Dollar-A-Day to Dollar-A-Call
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS -- Having been a GoPhone user for many years, I can affirm this is not an isolated incident and it didn't just begin happening.
1). The GoPhone Pre-Paid phones are sold at retailers everywhere. They are an inexpensive way to own a phone for communication.
2). The Refills can be had on-line, in most convenience stores, major retailers and truck stops.
3). Refills come in increments of 4.98 - Up to ???. A $15.00 card and below has a time use limit of 30 days. If there are no in or out-going calls, it will simply expire. If it is used, it costs $1.00. A $25.00 will last 90 days, same charges.
4). You cannot get a hold of a real human being about problems with erroneous charges on the Pre-Paid GoPhone. You are skewed into accepting accounting errors with this system.
5). After 90 days of using this, charges go from a dollar a day, to a dollar a call. Texting is a whole different ball of wax, but it is problematic as well.
There is no re-course except to find a contractual phone service. It is easy to purchase minutes, but impossible to recoup mass loss of purchased minutes from GoPhone from AT&T and their subsidiaries.
